Terms of Service

Last updated: 24 June 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of FeastAhead, a meal planning and recipe sharing service operated by Fluffy Leopard Labs ("we", "us", "our"). Fluffy Leopard Labs is based in the United Kingdom; company registration is in progress, and our registered company number and address will be added here once incorporation is complete. By creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Service Description

FeastAhead provides household meal planning, recipe management, shopping list generation, pantry tracking, and social features including friend connections and recipe sharing. The service is available as a web application and, where offered, through mobile applications.

2. Your Account

You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use FeastAhead.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: upload offensive, hateful, or illegal content; spam or post promotional recipes; plagiarise others' recipes without attribution; present automatically generated or AI-assisted content as if it were wholly your own original creation; attempt to circumvent security measures; harass, threaten, or abuse other users; use the service for any unlawful purpose.

4. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of recipes and content you create on FeastAhead. By sharing recipes publicly, you grant FeastAhead and other users a non-exclusive licence to view, use, and branch (fork) your recipes within the platform. Branched recipes are attributed to both the original author and the person who branched it. Imported recipes you bring into your account are governed additionally by §9 (User-Imported Content).

5. Subscriptions & Billing

FeastAhead offers a free Community tier and a paid Home tier. Home subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

6. Account Termination

You may deactivate your account at any time (reversible) or permanently delete it (irreversible). We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms or our Community Guidelines, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.

7. Limitation of Liability

FeastAhead is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

9. User-Imported Content

When you import a recipe via the URL or paste importer, you confirm that you have the right to use the content. You are solely responsible for ensuring that any imported recipe, image, or text does not infringe a third party's copyright, trademark, or other rights.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless FeastAhead against any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from imported content you bring into your account.

FeastAhead acts as a host of user-imported content, not a publisher. We may remove imported content from any account on receipt of a valid copyright notice, and we may take any other action we consider reasonable. Send copyright complaints to copyright@feastahead.app.

Our designated copyright agent is reachable at the same address. We aim to action or respond to a valid notice within 5 business days.

Accounts that receive multiple valid copyright notices may be suspended or terminated. We act case-by-case and may consider a pattern of valid notices as grounds for suspension.

10. Community Content

Some recipes on FeastAhead are sourced from public community catalogues such as the Wikibooks Cookbook. These recipes are flagged as community content and are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 licence (CC BY-SA 3.0).

Read the full CC BY-SA 3.0 licence text

Community content is distinct from your own recipes and from recipes you import from URLs (covered by §9). The terms in this section apply only to recipes flagged as community content.

If you fork or adapt a community recipe, the resulting recipe inherits the CC BY-SA 3.0 licence. You cannot make a community-derived recipe private, family-only, friends-only, or public under our standard terms — derivatives remain community-licensed by design.

FeastAhead displays the original source, attribution, and licence on every community recipe page. We preserve this metadata when you fork the recipe.

If you believe a community recipe was imported in error or violates a third-party right, contact us at copyright@feastahead.app. The §9 takedown process applies.
