About FeastAhead
Dinner, handled — together.
FeastAhead helps a household plan the week's meals, turn that plan into a shopping list in a tap, and cook what's already in the kitchen before it goes to waste. Less “what's for dinner?” at six o'clock, less food thrown away at the end of the week, a bit more time at the table.
That's the whole idea. It isn't trying to be a social network, a marketplace, or a data business. It's trying to be genuinely useful to the people who cook.
Who's behind it
FeastAhead is made by Fluffy Leopard Labs, a small independent software studio run by a developer who's been writing code for over 25 years — and who, like most people, still has to answer the “what are we eating this week?” question every single week.
It started as the tool we wanted for our own kitchen and couldn't find. The meal planners out there were either cluttered with ads, quietly harvesting what families eat to sell on, or charging for things a simple, well-built app should just do. So we built the one we actually wanted to use, and FeastAhead is the result.
“Small independent studio” is a grand way of saying: people who care about getting the details right, not a company with shareholders to feed. That's deliberate, and it shapes every decision below.

No ads. Ever.
FeastAhead is paid for by the people who choose to subscribe, not by selling your attention. You'll never see a banner, and the app will never be designed to keep you scrolling instead of cooking.
We don't sell your data — and we built it so we couldn't.
Your recipes, your meal plans, what your household eats: that's yours. We don't sell it, share it for advertising, or treat it as the real product. The smart features that read a label or a best-before date from a photo run on our own hardware, so your kitchen never gets shipped off to someone else's AI. Privacy here isn't a policy we promise; it's how the thing is built.
A free version that's actually good.
Most people will use FeastAhead for free and be perfectly happy — that's the point, not a trick. Paying unlocks the heavier features and supports the work, but the core of planning, shopping, and cooking is free because it should be.
Your secret recipes stay secret.
Grandma's recipe is yours to keep. Share what you want to share with the community; keep what you want to keep.
Where it's going
Food has always brought people together — and somewhere along the way, getting fed turned into a solitary trolley-push under fluorescent lights. FeastAhead starts with your own kitchen, but the longer-term hope is to put a little of the together back into food: households planning as one, neighbours sharing what they've got spare, knowledge passing between people who like to cook. That part comes in time, and only if it's done right.
For now, the goal is simpler: make this week's food a little easier, a little cheaper, and a little less wasteful — for you and the people you feed.
